Topic is Open Hi All

LANSuite seems straight forward to use (which is great for a simpleton like me!!), but I just can't quite get completely to grips with the POP3 bit.

If say my default domain is frozenmoles.co.uk and I set up a POP3 account to retrieve from which is a 'catch all' account but for the domain mappin.org.uk.

As the emails are retrieved, I want them to re-directed to the relevant users, but because the emails are say laphan@mappin.org.uk and not laphan@frozenmoles.co.uk they don't get redirected.

What I'm trying to say is that is there a way to re-direct the email by making LANSuite look at the alias used (eg laphan) rather than the full email address (eg laphan@frozenmoles.co.uk)???

I'm sure many users use a number of POP3 Internet based accounts that they need to retrieve from, but send out on their main domain.

Also what does this alternative method mean??

Many thanks.

Rgds

Topic is Open Some of our email comes back undelivered because our domain does not have a reverse DNS entry.

Where is this entry made?

Thank you for your assistance. Reverse DNS Entry

Topic is Open Hi All

I've just started to use LANSuite and up until now I've been very impressed.

Only problem is my ISPs use an @, # or & symbol in the login name ( eg root@mydomain.com) and LANsuite can't handle it.

Is there any way round this???

Rgds

Topic is Open Iím using Lan Suite 2003, which is great by the way. The problem Iím having is with another program called Spam Combat. This software is installed on the same PC as Lan Suite, but for some reason when it tries to get access to the pop3 account on my ISP to check for Spam. Lan suite is failing to dial up.

If a connection is already present, Spam Combat works ok. It is just when no connection is present and Lan suite would need to dial up.

I think that Spam Combat tries to access the ISP by going straight to the pop3 account and not out by a web page. Could this be the reason why Lan Suite is failing to detect the request to access the Internet?

Your Help would be much appreciated.

Topic is Open When I receive a fax I get the following message : Received fax message could not be delivered because there is no user defined.
As soon as a user is created he will receive the message
I have 72 users (for more than a year) e-mail works fine. I have a user setup to receive unsorted faxes. Also the Add ID's from list of received faxes is empty although the log file show that the received fax has an ID.
