Topic is Open Has anyone had the fax server/sendfax running reliably?
Iím using an external v90 modem with a Rockwell chipset, on a win xp pro box (acting as a server).
About half of the incoming the faxes are fine, yet the rest are either unreadable gibberish or have only the top of the page shown correctly. Similarly with outgoing faxes.

Iíve had a nosey around and Iíve been told it may be a flow control problem on the modem. Not knowing a thing about modem strings, I just wondered if anyone has got it working, and what modem and settings are they using.
thanks

Topic is Open I read in one of the tip archives (sep 03) that LANSuite 2003 could be used as an email gateway.

Seem to be having problems making this work:-

Scenario
I have a couple of domains with MX records pointing to the SMTP server on my LANSuite Email Server. Everything works fine - however, I wanted the LANSuite to now pass email for the two domains to another email server on my network.

As I understand it from the tips pages, I can get LANSuite to forward mail destined for a particular domain to my other email server.

I setup the preset routes, e.g. abc.com ----> 192.168.0.26. What happens is, if the LANSuite doesnot have an account for the particular user (e.g. fred@abc.com) it rejects the message and states that it does not relay or 'no such user'.

If I add an account, the email is accepted, but instead of being delivered to my email server at 192.168.0.26 it is delivered locally to the LANSuite email server.

Has anyone successfully set this email gateway scenario up?

Reason for doing this is that my other email server is Exchange, and I wanted to using AV that comes with LANSuite AVG which is much cheaper than buying an AV solution for Exchange. Using 602LanSuite as Email Gateway

Topic is Open Hi Guys,

I need to implement SSL feature in my LS2003. My users are just the one created in LS2003. The emails are just for internal usage testing and no internet connection required.

My client will be sending and receiving email thru Outlook Express v6.0.

I will also be using the Self-Signed Certificate that comes with LS2003. But how do I implement for both LS2003 and Outlook Express, so that my individual user can send out email in Encrypted and Digital Signed? Please indicates the individual steps for the implementation.

Please help. Thank you.

Topic is Open The Webmail is handy, but I have another application that uses port 80 so I have been trying to use a different port. So far I am unable to get ports 8080 or 8081 to work on the internal network at all. Any suggestions or assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Changing port for webmail

Topic is Open I just got the suite yesterday. Maybe I don't understand or have misread something. I set LS up on my Desktop to share it's internet connection with my laptop. I have an external cable connection, 1 NIC in my desktop and 1 in my laptop (obviously) connected via a workgroup HUB (that has an uplink for the internet or another server connection). I have the TCP/IP protocol installed as well as the IPX/SPX protocol for file sharing. Am I understanding correctly that if I want to share this connection I have to dedicate the connection to just TCP/IP without IPX/SPX? I have set up the browser on my laptop with the proxy info (IP addresss of my desktop) and no luck. In fact - all IP's in the LS window show addresses of 0.0.0.0? No firewall - DNS and DHCP. Can you help me out a little?? Internet Connection Sharing

Topic is Open Hi

My ISP also uses a proxy. I specified the address in the Advanced HTTP Proxy settings proxy tab. However my ISP needs me to use my user id and password on the proxy.

qn 1) Where is the user information for parent proxy entered ?
qn 2) If no support, is there a work around

Regards

Topic is Open Just installed LanSuitePro 2003 and working fine, except the faxserver. On the same computer where LS is installed, I have an ISDN2 interface. Also active is RVS com lite. Within RVS I configured 1 number as the fax number. If I activate the LS Faxserver, it will answer calls to all numbers on my isdn, not just the calls to the faxnumber. What do I do wrong?. All computers are running Windows Millenium. Fax Server problem
