Topic is Open I installed Lansuite for a customer yesterday, and to start with, it was fine.
Later in the day, while we set up the last client, Lansuite's DHCP granted the client the IP address _backwards_ - 4.0.0.10 (odd).

A message popped up briefly on screen about the PRO product not being licensed (sorry, do not have actual wording :( ), and I thought it would probably be a good idea to restart the system.

Everything seemed to go back to normal, but then we started getting problems dialling out. When attempting to look at the internet, the proxy request showed up on the logs, but no dial attempt was made.
We received a message Invalid Pointer Operation in a message box, which seemed to co-incide with a message in the logs about the remote computers modem being out of order. (I'm not sure it's even trying to dial) (This happens often.)

I'm sorry, again I do not have the logs to hand (I'll be going to see the customer later today, I'll get them then.), but does anyone have any ideas what I can do? Should I reinstall? Multiple problems!

Topic is Open I would like to require clients to authenticate using their digital id. I don't quite understand how to set up the authorities (ie: what to put in CA folder). Any help would be much appreciated.

Topic is Open Here's the problem:
I have my SMTP server set-up behind the firewall and the server itself (W2K Server computer) belongs to the local domain - i.e. like mail.home.local.
At the same time, while sending e-mail to the Internet, I'd like my host to present itself as mail.home.net.
Is this possible?
I can't change the domain name of this computer since it's a member of the Active Directory domain.

Many thanx for any advice!

Topic is Open I have just started having a problem with SMTP timing out in LS2002. It happens with the clients within and also to inbound emails. Here's some log captures:

04:04:45 pm SMTP: [2] Connection error (Winsock: Socket is not connected).
04:06:17 pm SMTP: [2] 'cgmail.uams.edu' [144.30.1.244] connected.

06:09:46 pm SMTP: [2] SMTP connection to 'mail7.savebigshopsmart.com' established.

ALL incoming mail connections will send/receive about the same amount of data before timing out (not just from cgmail.uams.edu as shown above). Anyone have any idea what's going on here?? HELP! SMTP has stopped working...

Topic is Open I was trying to send a fax to myself. Since I am using a telephone exchange system, I only expected to hear the phone ring (using another outside line) but naturally, I didn't expect the same extension to both call and answer at the same time.
The telephone was indeed ringing as expected and the fax server could not answer (no surprise so far).
However, I also got a fax delivery notification saying that Fax message was successfully delivered to.....
I'm not sure yet what happens when\if I send a fax to another phone while there is no answer (there is no fax machine) on the other end.
Is it really a bug? did anyone come across such a thing?
Thanks,

Arnon bug report!!!

Topic is Open Hi all,
I'm not too sure if it's an OUTLOOK issue (if that is so, I would also be happy to get some advise). Anyway, in my company, I have two computers that I occasionally use. I would like to know if there is any way to synchronize my account in those two computers - when I open the second computer, I can see the fax/email that I have already opened/sorted in my other computer as if it's another user that is using the same user account for sending and receiving email.
I am looking for a way to see those fax/email marked as read or sorted and moved to the personal folder where I saved them in the other computer.
Any suggestions?
Thanks synchronize email

Topic is Open I have the following Problem running LANSUITE 2002:

Lansuite checks several pop3 mailboxes for incomming mails. In most cases there are no problems to collect and forward mails to local mailboxes. Sometimes Lansuite reports ERR - ACCESS Denied - PW wrong or unknown user.
After shutting down Lansuite and restart it, all works fine, without changing configuration. (connection properly terminated).

Thank you for your help ! Error collecting Mails from POP3-Server
