Topic is Open I have just setup a 2003 server wit LS2002. It runs ok when in the background as a service, but when I run it in the forground (via the startup folder ) the application send the COU to 100%. It works ok but the server is no much good for anything else. I have just read in the KB that S602 does not currently support Windows 2003 server, however has anyone come across this before. I would prefer running it s a service but I would like to know how to view/configure LS2002 without starting the lansuite.exe which runs as well as lansuites.exe ? Any clues. I will try using the browser interface, that may do the trick.

Further to the post I made a couple days back, I've investigated a little further -

LS2002 *is* taking note of headers of the form

Return-Receipt-To: <address>

This one it *is* responding to, and sending out a response.

However, when it got an email with a header of the form

Disposition-Notification-To: <address>

it ignored it and passed it onwards to the user's e-mail software. (Which totally ignored it as well !!)

Anybody got any ideas ??? And please, there's *no* doubt that LS *is* sending the responses in question - I've even gone so far as to power down the relevant user's PC so that there can be no doubt whatsoever about the source of the response (just in case!!!)

Topic is Open i disabled the update html via ftp option in the admin utility - but my WS_FTP server still doesn't work???

I have a wireless router with an open port for 21 so i do not need a firewall, so it's not turned on (or is it?) The other message on the forum mentions #8021..

All i really wanted from this software was the mail server - all the other stuff is handled by the hardware...

Topic is Open This might seem like a really dumb question. Since I'm new and I don't quite understand the mechanism of the Lan Suite 2002, I cannot receive fax. I am only using Lan Suite 2002 as a fax server and I did activate the SMTP server. I was able to send faxes properly.

Now my question is how does receiving fax work? Is the phone number that I attach the modem to the number that I should send to? If it is, how does the modem know when to activate when a fax comes in? I connect the modem to the wall and to the computer, it only gives a busy signal when I dial my phone number. The computer I installed Lan Suite is on the LAN so I only set up a permanenet connection.

Any input will be deeply appreciated. Newbie question regarding fax

Anybody got any ideas about preventing the sending of email user has read receipts ???

I'm finding that LS2002 is sending these receipts rather than leaving it up the mail package of the internal user once the email actually gets to it's final recipient.

It's causing a couple problems, and the easiest way out for me would be to disable the feature.

Topic is Open Hi,

I would like to use my own FTP server and disable the LS2002 native version. I have tried clearing the Proxy selection for FTP, but to no avail.

Any ideas? How to disable native FTP server?

Topic is Open Hi,

I have two small problems with the proxy side:
1. apparently, the HTTP 1.1 keepalive feature does not seem to be implemented.
2. I have succeeded in connecting with MSN Messenger (Socks5) but I cannot establish a voice or video connection, nor tranfer files.

My gateway is a Windows 98 PC with the LanSuite and ZoneAlarmPro with URL filter.

Thanks in advance for any help!
