Topic is Open Dear Sir/Madam,

I am having a problem with remote ftp connections. Locally I am able to get ftp access to the server however remote users get the following message when trying to ftp to their user directories.

200 Type set to A.
200 PORT command successful.
425 CaníŽt build data connection: Connection refused.

I tried the simple ftp.exe at DOS prompt. It works if I use 192.168.xxx.xxx, but it didn't work if I use the real IP address.
I'm sure that ftp client is not in passive mode.

Please help me .....
Thanks in advance.

Topic is Open I am trying to fight a loosing battle with Spam, I get appx 2000 a day between 4 users, enabling anti spam on 2003 reduces this marginally, lansuite needs, a more advanced anti spam setup, ie content filters, baysian etc as seen in many anti spam packages, like g-lock Spamcombat etc. maybe a 3rd party link as with avg for viruses.
Also I have noticed that more than 90% of my spam is not addressed to an existing users, ie derwe3w@domain.com.
If lansuite could Bounce back the emails not for a known user then it would greatly reduce the spam, just this feature would do for me.

I use lansuite by poping my isp for the mail.

does anyone else have this problem, and have they found a solution. redirecting unknown mail to a user, is not ideal as the mailbox would have to be emptied very regulary.

I can ping from the 602 machine so my connection is fine - I thought maybe a vpn to the firewall but haven't managed that yet.
