Topic is Open I'm testing lansuite 2000, web proxy works OK but I can't send a fax

I've tried several configurations of the fax service...

1) when I'm sending a fax always appears the mail client address book ? how do i send a fax without creating a new contact ???

2) when I choose a contact from the address book (with fax and phone numbers) the fax602 show me the preview and when i click send gaves me the
' no addresses accepted!' error

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

Topic is Open Lately I have been noticing in my logs of someone trying to come in and it seems like they are trying to access the root.exe and admin.dll files as well as cmd.exe files. How is this possible? a message comes up www disabled. but this person continues for about 10 minutes before it suddenly stops. How can we stop him?

Topic is Open I love the 602Pro Lan Server, BUT, I have major problems getting the fax server to send out faxes properly. First, I can send faxes through the use of the print driver but the message stays in the que and kepps faxing the same message over and over until the max attempts run out. Even though the fax went through the first time!!!. Next, When sending a fax through an email client how do you send out the attachment that is attached to the message. It just faxes the cover Page and the attachment is shown just as it is on an email maessage. Plus it won't convert the email addresses to fax numbers properly and send them out. I have to use the print driver. I am at my wits end on this thing and If I have to buy a separate faxing program for the network my boss is gonna kill me !!! LOL Does anyone know how to set this thing up properly and actually make it work??? I am running on Windows NT with 28 clients using Outlook 97, 98 and 2000. I have the most recent build of 602pro. Thanks anyone !!! Sending Faxes

Topic is Open I need to open several TCP ports to enable our users to run a java-based terminal application. I'm unclear on whether opening a port (in the conventional sense, as with a firewall) is the same as mapping a link in LanSuite. For example, what is the proper LanSuite setting to open TCP port 422 for the entire LAN?

Thanks all.... "mapped links" vs. open ports

Topic is Open Whats the trick on getting streaming quicktime movies from the net to a client on the LAN? I have tried to fiddle with mapping but am not sure if what i am doing is right. Quick time 4 needs RTP RTSP ports open at 544 or UDP at 6970-6999. I think I must be Missing something simple.
This is the site with the info.
